Meet the Producer: Liz Barak


Liz Barak undertook the enormous project this year of creating an album based around the book she wrote, Ballad of the North Wind. We sat down and talked about the process and how it felt to collaborate with so many amazing women! 

About Liz

Liz Barak is a composer, songwriter, guitarist, music producer, audio engineer, and author. She lived and performed for years in London, Amsterdam, and Berlin. She has a Composition/Music Production bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Contemporary Composition degree from the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. She is the Music Producer, Arranger and Mixing Engineer of the Project.

About the Project

With the pursuit and goal of telling stories through music, Liz Barak’s Project hopes to bring inspiration to women around the world, as well as more equality to the music industry.

Founded in 2019, the Project has already produced 8 recordings that have included over 40 different female musicians around the globe.
